Elafonisos lies opposite Pounta, in Laconia. You drive to Pounta and cross to the island by ferry.

By car the journey takes roughly four to five hours, via Sparta or Molaoi.
By ferry
The crossing from Pounta takes a few minutes. Timetables change with the season, so check the schedule before you travel. In August there is a queue, so arrive early.
